The short version: we use what you type into the form to look up your property and get back to you. We do not give it to anyone else unless you ask us to, and we never sell it.
When you submit a form on this site: your name, your email address, the property address you are asking about, and optionally your phone number and whatever you tell us about your situation. We also record which page you submitted from, so we know what brought you here.
If analytics are running on this site, we also collect ordinary aggregate usage data such as which pages get viewed, general geographic region, and device type. That is not connected to your name.
That is the entire list. We do not use it for anything else.
One licensed septic professional, and only after you have asked us to. You will know who they are before we send anything.
We do not sell your information, rent it, or hand it to a list of contractors who all call you. That practice is common in home services lead generation and we think it is why people are reluctant to fill out forms. We do not do it.
We use a small number of third parties to actually run the site, currently a form handler, a host, and possibly an analytics provider. They process this data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
For as long as we are helping you, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. Septic decisions often sit for a year or two before someone acts, so we would rather still have your record than make you start over.
If you would prefer we did not, say so and we will delete it.
Email us and we will tell you what we hold, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. No forms and no hoops.
We do not send marketing email you did not ask for. If we ever follow up about your property, it will be because you contacted us first, and there will be an obvious way to tell us to stop.
This site may use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It sets cookies and collects aggregate usage data. It does not know who you are, and we do not use it for advertising or retargeting. If you would rather not be measured, browser settings and standard blockers will stop it, and nothing on the site will break.
Septic permit information in our database originates from county records and describes properties rather than people. When we send you what is on file for your address, that is information about the system, not about you.
